Rārus Design Studio ("Rārus", "we", "us", "our") is a creative design studio based in Bengaluru, India (GSTIN: 29CNGPD2522R1ZN), offering branding, packaging, UX/UI and graphic design services to clients in India and internationally.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal data when you visit www.studiorarus.com, contact us, respond to our advertisements (including LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms), apply for a job, or work with us as a client. By using our website or sharing your details with us, you agree to the practices described here.

We process personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules, and, where applicable, other data protection laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the UAE Personal Data Protection Law.

Information we collect

• Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, country, and any project details or files you share when you contact us by email, phone, WhatsApp or our website.

• Advertising lead forms: when you submit a LinkedIn Lead Gen Form (or a similar form on Meta or other platforms), we receive the details you choose to submit, typically your name, email, phone number, company, job title and any answers to form questions.

• Job applications: your CV, portfolio links, work samples, and contact details when you apply through our Jobs page or by email.

• Client project information: contact details of client team members and any brand, product or business materials shared for a project.

• Automatically collected data: when you browse our website, our hosting provider (Wix) and analytics tools may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and referring site, using cookies and similar technologies.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data such as financial, health or biometric information through our website or ads.

How we use your information

We use personal data only for clear business purposes:

• To respond to enquiries and share proposals, quotes and portfolio material you requested.

• To deliver and manage design projects, including invoicing and project communication.

• To follow up on leads generated through our ads, including LinkedIn campaigns.

• To send occasional updates about our work and services, only where you have agreed to receive them. You can opt out at any time.

• To assess job applications.

• To improve our website, understand how visitors use it, and measure the performance of our ads.

• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We rely on your consent (for example, when you submit a form), on the need to perform or enter into a contract with you, and on legitimate business uses permitted by law. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only when needed:

• Service providers who help us run the studio, such as website hosting (Wix), email and cloud storage, design and collaboration tools, and accounting software. They may use your data only to provide their services to us.

• Advertising platforms such as LinkedIn and Meta, which process data under their own privacy policies when you interact with our ads or submit their lead forms.

• Freelancers or partners working with us on your project, under confidentiality obligations.

• Authorities, where required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember preferences and understand visitor behaviour. We may also use advertising pixels (such as the LinkedIn Insight Tag) to measure ad performance and show relevant ads. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.

How long we keep your data

• Enquiries and ad leads that do not become projects: up to 24 months from our last contact.

• Client and project records: for the duration of the engagement and as long as required by Indian tax and accounting law (generally 8 years).

• Job applications: up to 12 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

• After this, we delete or anonymise the data.

Security

• We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access controls, password-protected accounts and trusted service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a data breach affects you, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

International transfers

• We work with clients worldwide and use service providers that may store data outside India, for example in the United States or Europe. When we transfer data, we take reasonable steps to ensure it stays protected and follow any restrictions set by applicable law.

Your rights

• Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.

• Correct or update inaccurate data.

• Ask us to delete your data.

• Withdraw consent or opt out of marketing messages at any time.

• Object to or restrict certain processing.

Children

• Our services are meant for businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has shared data with us, please contact us and we will delete it.

• Our website links to other sites, such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and Behance. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your data; please read their privacy policies.
